My car ahs been has never really idled right. I've cleaned everything, and it still didnt idle taht well, but I was able to put up with it, I just had to give it a lil gas when I was slowing down (3pedaling lol) and make sure it didnt die while sitting still. We had a guy work on my Bronco to check out the Engine Check lights and fix the A/C and he turned out to be a really honest guy, and was really good. He thought an oxygen sensor was bad on it, but it turned out to just be a wire, and it took him maybe a week to figure that out, and only charged us like $80 for alll of his work. So we took my Mustang to him, because he could pull codes and maybe figure it out. And he has had it for a little over a week and my sister went down to see waht it is. Now shes not car-intelligent and neither is my mom, and the message went from him, to my sister, to my mom, to me, so it could have been messed up along the way... But according to them, he said the Max Flow Valve or something like that was messed yp and needed to be replaced but he wasn't entirely sure yet.

Anyone have any idea what that is? I looked it up, and the stuff I got looked like some sort of blow-off valve, but my car shouldnt have a blow off valve should it?

W.T.F!?

Mass air flow sensor. You have stock maf with 24lbs injectors? Why do you need 24s any way?

I thought they might have meant the mass air flow, but the guy said it would cost $250 to replace. I didn;t think MAFs were that much. I suppose they could be, I just had no idea... :dunno:

The car came with 24s. I havent done anything performance wise to my car except for the clutch, everything else was like that when I got it.

if you talked to the guy to find out the price... why not just ask him what he wants to replace? if he actually says max flow valve grab your keys and run....

oh and btw, the MAF sensor is usually around 70-150 at a parts store, a brand new MAF at advance is only $205 so he must have some crazy mark up or hes buying parts at the wrong place
