The shifter shouldn't have messed anything up as long as you adjusted the bumpstops correctly. I hope you get it resolved quickly though, I love my MGW.

When I get a chance I'll help you. Maybe on saturday? Mine was hard to get perfect, we actually re-did it once I had the tranny completely out, obviously that was the easiest way to do it :)

Can you explain to me how to adjust these shifters? Mine came with the orange shifter and I grind 2nd only sometimes and it makes me feel paranoid when shifting into 2nd so I do it super slowly like a granny. I have a tremec 3650 so no need to adjust stops but are there anything else I need to adjust? Or in this case readjust. Help will be much appreciated.

I'll be in alabama this weekend lol. How about any other time in the week? I'm leaving friday morning.

I am unsure how to adjust the 3650 though I imagine it's similar. It's a matter of backing out a bolt and holding onto the nut on the other side. Getting it to where the car can be all the way in gear and just barely touching the bolt.

I read that I shouldn't have shift stops set up for my transmission because it has internal shift stops and can easily damage the transmission so just leave them out. I took my bezel off yesterday and checked the shifter and both nuts that adjusts the shift stops were missing. I'm guessing the previous owner did this right? But I'm still experiencing 2nd gear grind only sometimes. Which is very annoying. So the only adjustable part of mgw orange shifter are the shift stops that can contribute to this?

not sure why your 2nd gear is grinding.

Yes, my shifter looks just like that with the bolts off. I thought it was the syncro but if it was wouldn't that mean I should grind often and my 4th should grind also? My 4th never grinds and my 2nd shifts smooth most of the time.

Maybe I should adjust my clutch. It does feel odd. The pedal has no free play and sits high above the brakes. Any suggestions?

Should I start another thread? I feel like I jacked this one! But I need suggestions badly!

It might be the 2nd gear syncro in your case.

And my bad, maybe there isn't nuts at all. It's been quite some time since I adjusted mine. Obviously...set it and forget it haha

The blue adjustable one can go onto any shifter base. It's a great piece. I just installed an orange handle MGW shifter last week. I have a blue adjustable handle now that I do not need if anybody is interested. It would work great on a Steeda ot Pro 5.0 ect.. If interested, let me know-
