This winter I plan to pull my motor , smooth , polish and paint everything I can in my engine bay. I've got a mildly built 306 in the car now with a tublar gt40 intake on it now. While I do like the looks of that intake and it seems to fit my needs for the motor well , I want something a bit more off the beaten path.

What I'm dabating on tring is something like a eledelbrock rpm dual plane intake with injector ports drilled in. I've seen the victor jr single plane intakes and love the look of them. My car just isn't to that stage where it could pull off a victor jr. My rpm range is @ 2000-6500 rather than the Vic.'s 3500-8500.

I understand the single plane intakes work better at efi conversions due to 1: no divider. 2: equal runners. My question being , how much , if any hp and torke would lose with a dual plane? If I removed the center divider would that help? If I ported it would that help aswell?

I do understand these intakes are designed primarily for a carb set up. Mainly wanting to know if there's any work that can be done to them to make them function properly for a efi set up. I don't mind spending a little bit on a intake if it will proform well and give me the look I'm tring to get.
