So here's my dillema, my current mod list is (or will be within the next week) 3.73 gears, offroad H, flows, sfc's, k&n filter. Ive pretty much maxed out on the bang for buck (will consider headers) bolt ons, and my goal is to build an inexpensive, fun and functional street car that can be daily driven. Heres my two routes

1. GT40x heads, scorpion rockers, edelbrock performer intake, 70mm tb, stock cam (Ill be getting the tfs1 with the sale, but im going to retain the stocker for driveability for now) and other accessories like an SVO elbow and whatnot. All this will cost about or under $1000 as a used bundle. The intake, elbow and tb are polished too, so it looks nice :coolsmiley:

2. 100 shot of wet nitrous with goodies like window switch, bottle heater, etc. It will cost less than combo 1 and net more SOTP and power, but at the expense of filling the bottle.

What would you go with? #1 is good because powers always there, #2 is good because stock-like fuel economy and power are there until you wanna be stupid :thumb: .. #1 is good because its safer/permanent.. #2 is good because its simpler and easily removable.. decisions decisions

number two....spray it now....then you can save for number one and add BOTH together and really hurt some feelings.

Nitrous first then let that keep you happy til you can afford a good H/C/I setup and then run both. And your #1 setup is a very crappy one. You would be lucky to make 260rwhp.

I think you should do #1 first... get that done, have a little N/A power, then save up and buy the NItrous, then you get even more out of the combo than you would if you jumped head first into nitrous.

and this is coming from a Nitrous Junky...

Id rather have a solid base all the time then a once in awhile "only fast while the bottle is full" kinda deal. If its eventually going to be both, then work the pocket book but if its one or the other, Id personally go with whats always going to be there ala #1.

I had nitrous awhile back on my V6 Accord. It was low 14s on a 75 shot and a high 15 N/A. Im not saying thats fast, but its so much worse if you are depending on the bottle to be quick.

I'd go with #1 first, then add nitrous. If it's a fun DD you want, the power needs to always be there. Don't get me wrong, nitrous is fun as hell, but if you're spraying on a daily basis it's gonna get very expensive.

I WOULD say option 1 but that combo needs some work. Nitrous is badass though. Yea both together is a no brainer but for right now. Spray that bitch.

Depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want nothing more than a track demon, build up the suspension, rearend, and spray it. It will handle like a ford taurus but it will be fast. But if you want a street car, i say go with H/C/I and go with some other power adder. You're only as fast as the PSI in your bottle. :thumb:
