Good Ole GA

Yeah i noticed that yesterday when i was coming down 400. It was fine on the highway but when i hit stop and go near my house and off the exit it started to heat right up. Mine has started to leak anyway. I am going to do Subframes before i put a new rad in since i'm on my 2nd factory stock one.

My Mishi just started leaking where the Floo meets the tank, the car sits a lot since im deployed 9 months out of the year but it had less then 1000 miles drivin on it since the install. Maybe torque had something to do with it since the car was making about 500 at the wheels. The Warranty is looking good though..really easy, just take a pic of where its leaking and fill a little form out and pay $10 for shipping and they just send you another right on out. You don't even have to send the old one back to them. A meth kit just went on the car so it will be making a little over 600 now and subframe connectors just went on so hopefully it will not fail again.

I have had my Fluidyne for a couple years now with no problems.

In my 95 I don't see how chassis flex could cause problems. The radiator rests on bushings and the top is held in place by metal tabs with bushings.

I would be curious to know, how many people used non-distilled water in their aluminum radiator and developed leaks. Tap water is said to be very corrosive to aluminum.

Mine leaked... had to pull it and replace it in favor of a stock radiator... it is very sensitive to any abuse at all and will leak from the seals on the sides with the slightest tweak.

***PLEASE READ, FOUND SOMETHING***

I've actually had 2 go on me leak..and everytime it's mainly after my car sat through storage in my garage for winter..now i'm going on my third. I've had them all under warranty so it wasn't to bad..but i've finally figured out my problem i was having(lol knock on wood)..had nothing to do with "chassis flexing" like most were going on about at correl. It's called coolant electrolysis..aka a stay electric current getting carried through the coolant.

I measured my coolant and found over 50mV with the car completely off. I replaced the coolant and in a matter of days it was back at over 50mV..I noticed when i turned on my radio it would shoot up in mV's. I refitted the ground behind the dash to a better location, replaced the coolant again and tested in a few days..everything was perfect.
So if you have a bad/corroded/faulty ground wire/cable..it's very easy to get coolant electrolysis which can finish a aluminum rad in a matter of days!!

Anyways I'm not stating this is the problem for all these leaking radiators, but in my case it was..Here's a link to what I used to diagnose my fault i had..check out some of the testing they did, goes to show why some ppl had no problem with there stock rad but started having radiator leaks when switching to a large aluminum rad..
