Most likely a pats issue. Theft light flashing while attempting a start is a clear sign. The theft issue disables injectors from pulsing. All the normal start up crap does what its supposed to, but the comp doesnt pulse the injectors. Either your keys chip is toast, the ignition start switch transponder is bad, but either way.... Any sct tuner can turn off the pats issues. Then you can start the car

what tuner do you have? It might have the option to do so already and it was just something you stayed out of.

X4. But thought these tunes were vehicle specific once linked to the car. Or do I do a restore to stock on my 14 with the x4 tuner. Then go in and scan the 98

I do believe only the sct dealer/tuner can alter the pats on/off. Give your sct tuner guy a call. In other words, a simple purchased sct hand held tuner doesnt offer the option to toggle security on or off. Only the sct dealer/tuner guy can.

And this may be simple enough that your keys chip took a crap or the ingintion switch transponder to a crap......but thinking about that.....if you swapped in new parts, they most likely would need to be programed to the ecu.

Yeah....give your sct tuner a call

If you need an sct tuner guy, Blankenship tuning in Shelbyville ky is a phenomenal guy.

Thanks. I'll look closer to me first. On the far west left coast there are a couple of shops that do such work
