oh i agree, i dont street race. Thats what i dont like about nitrous though. My point is that power is not always there when you want it with nitrous.

I always laugh when people say nitrous is fake horsepower or cheating or whatever. Horsepower is horsepower. Doesn't matter how you get there.

That's my whole point. Race on the street will NEVER happen if you pull up next to me. I have 5 race tracks within 1 hour drive from where I live. If you spread that to a 3 hour drive there is well over 10 tracks ranging from 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile. I will have nitrous on my car. I will also have a VERY strong NA 4.6 in my car. I will get my car into the low 8's in the 1/8 and low 7's maybe high 6's on spray if I get my suspension setup right.

nitrous has been around a long time. Long before the ricer cars got "cool". Nitrous will be around a long time. Dollar for dollar you will not find a cheaper way to make big power.

Nitrous works, and a win is a win. I've never liked the excuses after a lose "well if I put the money into my car you did.." or, "well yeah but you have a blower..." or, "well you used nitrous...". THese thing's didn't stop people from lining up, man up, sack up and deal with it! End rant there, lol, personal thing, lol

but, I don't like nitrous, because like Jstin said, your car isn't fast all the time, and long term, it cost more than a blower. BUt you can't argue with it's effectiveness. And to say it's "cheating" is like saying porting your head's is cheating, or shorter gear's are cheating. We'd all be in flathead's still.

If I get serious into racing this year, I am thinking of buying a nitrous refill station. Then I can refill my bottles ALOT cheaper than taking them to get them filled.

Yeah I would never say a part on your car is cheating. But I agree with justin. It must suck having a 250rwhp car on the street and having a 400rwhp for a 1/4 of a drive on the track.

the thing about me is that i dont feel i need more than 300 rwhp on the street. there are not many cars
that can take down a good tuned 3oo rwhp car on the street. races from stop light to stop light arent
long enough for someone that has 500 hp and cant get it to hook outside a drag strip for them to run
me down. plus its just more economical. why drive a racecar everyday when you can have a very fast
street car, and one mean ass track car at the same time. if somebody seriously wanted to go all i would
have to do is spend 10 minutes swapping the setup for spray. yea, its still having to be changed but hell
people spend that much time trash talking nowadays.

oh and the thing about nitrous is cheating, you tell that to all those pro mod guys runnin a nitrous setup,
they will laugh their asses off at you. lol.

didint mean to seem like an ass if i did, just really am tired of people hating on spray when it is used in
the really fast drag cars and get respect there. this isnt fast and the furious, were not all runnin around
screamin NAAWWWWZZZZ....lmao. a car that has nitrous can be just as effective as one with FI. it all
comes down to being a power adder, doesnt matter what it is, its still a power adder. another benefit to
runnin nitrous is you can select where you want the power to hit. if the track is in crappy condition,
dont spray till you get out of the hole. what im trying to say is that nitrous isnt a bad thing, lots of pros
use it, and do well with it. 300 rwhp is plenty enough for my DD, and knowing that i can kick it up 100
when i go to the track is even better. lol.

I need billet bottle brackets, a Carbon Fiber bottle with flames painted on it, a duel purge kit, with strobe lights and machine gun sound effoects, that I will cleverly route from the snake on the fender of my GT. And not actually put any into my motor, because veryone knows nauzz blows your motor.
