Alright, so a friend and I detailed the girlfriends 2013 MCA edition yesterday. Foam Gun Fun Clay barred Compounded with V34, half the car done with a Flex polisher, half done with a PorterCable 7424XP Polished with V38 Black Diamond Sealant Doo Doo Juice Wax No pics really for before or during, mostly just after
Nothing says "I'm the ****ing man" more than a grown man with a Mach 1 shirt in a white convertible automatic V6 mustang. Also, is it possible to do a before and after picture of detailing a white car? Seems like they're always clean. Regardless I'm sure le gf is happy. The first picture is definitely missing a brazzers logo somewhere though.
Ha, it does show less in pictures than other colors, but it made a huge difference. Still some minor swirling and such, perhaps we should have used a heavier compound, but either way, its clean and protected. And yes, I am the man. You better know it ;p
Just FYI, using an abrasive polish on a white car is generally a waste of time. It just doesn't make a real difference. Your best bet with a white car is to use a dedicated chemical paint cleaner. Duragloss 501 and Klasse are good all in one products. If you want a dedicated cleaner, Poorboy's Pro Polish is excellent.
In this case it was not a waste of time. The swirling and such was causing light to deflect and the reflections were pretty bad. She lined up next to another friend with a white 2014, and his car initially was much whiter (garage kept/newer) and now hers is nearly identical in shine. However, in the future I will keep that in mind, thanks!
