Can someone please point me in the right direction? I have a 98 GT, it has the MSD tower coils. I was using FRPP wires until they gave out. I started looking for hours for set of MSD super conductors for the 98 GT with no luck. Im thinking they nay not offer a set? I then came across Moroso ultra 40s. I looked again for hours for the correct part number and just got even more confused.

Can someone please point me in the right direction with a part number for Moroso Ultra 40 pre-mades for my 98GT?

There are a bunch of companies not making parts for our cars anymore, like they make for others. The more popular thing to do with our year mustangs is to convert over to individual coil packs. Deleting the tower packs and plug wires really clean up the engine bay and all the associated problems with plug wires go away. I dont remember who makes the coil on plug harness, but im sure someone that knows will chime in.

The other options are auto part store brand plug wires. Sorry if this is of no help. The plug wire market for our model years are diminishing

It's a member of SVTP. I can find out if the O.P. is serious about the conversion

I am not the motor expert so if someone corrects me go with them, but I know a thing or two about electronics and I thought that the mustang used a high resistance spark plug wire. Spark plug wires are not all the same, some have low resistance and some have high. When I do a quick search on the resistance of the superconductor wires and it says they are 40-50 ohms per foot. When I do a search on the recommended resistance for plug wires for a 98 it says that it recommends 5k-12k ohms per foot. I am not sure what having the wrong ones would do exactly other than not work perfect, maybe someone else knows.

Im going to have to investigate further into the conversion. May give the added spark I need.

I was under the impression that MSD would have designed their products to work together. Ie. using their coils, use their wire, or a similarly designed one --lower resistance. I of course could be wrong.

My intent is to get maximum spark output, as I believe I am dealing with a spark blow out issue while under boost, even after playing with plug gaps

Looks like ai would be in for around the same amount of money for a set of MSD 82428 C.O.P. as as would the wires.

This really has my interest now, as Im fairly certain the C.O.P. setup would be a step forward from the two coils I have now with new wires

Based on the materials used, OEM wires prioritize noise suppression and reliability for everyday driving, resulting in higher resistance. Most aftermarket performance wires prioritize delivering maximum spark energy without regard for noise suppression, leading to lower resistance.

I hope this helps

Many companies don't make off-the-shelf spark plug wires because of the location of your ignition coil or coil packs, because they may have been moved. Try contacting Moroso and see if they will make a pre-made set for you. It should be easy enough to send an email or make a call.

Good luck

Long story short, I found FRPP plug wire to be junk on the plug boot end. I found roughly a half inch had to be cut off the boot that slips over the sparkplug. The long boot would push the terminal connection off the sparkplug tip. Still run good, but would act weird, like its breaking up. Funny thing is it wasnt ever boot that was long, only a few. All boots were very inconsistent in how they felt engaging the sparkplug

you can always make your own with the purchase of a crimper and the right kit and get them the perfect length if that is something that bugs ya. A youtube vid is all you need to learn how to as it is easy.
