MOTOR MOUNTS

i keep breakin the pass. side motor mount ......the rubber keeps suckin down in the sleeve where the two plates are mounting.......im doin the windsor swap soon but im tired of replacing them ever other weekend....so will the 351 swap solid steel mounts work till i get the windsor in.........they are the convt. mounts and i still break em.........

I have no where to bolt the chain to......im runnin everything but smog and a/c and the brackets take up all the head bolt locations and i dont want to chain from the bellhousing......to much stress in a bad spot......

i already have the 351 drop solid mounts.....but just out of curiosity .......is there a poly mount for this swap....cause solids are goin to kick my ass drivin it everyday......

in other words......what would happen if i put 5.0 poly's in it.........i just wont get it clear the hood....cause i got a 2.5 cobra r cowl hood from hofibertrends

I bet even with normal motor mounts it will clear a 2.5" cowl hood. 351s aren't THAT much taller. Like I mentioned in the other thread, getting the motor to clear isn't that hard, it's getting the air inlet pipe that is a bit difficult.
