So it's time for an oil changed!!

I'm planning to used Mobil1 synthetics ... what you guys used usually?

And witch grade?

New to the 4v game. Is it recommended to run 7 qts like the 99/01 guys are always saying to do?

I just did my oil change on my 97 Cobra. I used 5w30, like it says in the manual. Although, my snake only has 58k miles )))) so I used what the manual said. I used 6 quarts, but bought 7 just in case. My manual says 6 quarts. I checked the oil 22 minutes later and it read FULL every time with 6 quarts.

Just add 6 and if let the oil go to the bottom and than check the level, if you need more than add a bit more and recheck it. No expert, that's just what I did and it was perfect!

I'm using 10w30 Castrol synthetic on mine. I use 6.5 quarts

I run 7 quarts of Castro Syntec 5w30 in my 97.

mobil1 bitch here... its all i run through the engine. everything else (drivetrain, PS, diffy) is RP.

I run the real dino stuff. I usually use Valvoline 10-30. Mine holds 7 qts to the full mark.
