I went with ford racing ceramic shorty headers. Longtube suppose to make more power. I live in L.A so i need to pass smog. that's the reason i chose them. There are many many companies out there who makes headers for our car. who is the best? I don't know. But i like ford racing stuff. they serve me good for all these years and i am sticking with them. I have heard really good things about bassani and anderson ford motorsports.

or you can always put a smaller pulley on your alternator.

A well maintained 5.0, which from the sounds of it you probably have, will last you as long as you want it to as long as your not drag racing from light to light all day and doing burnouts and all that non sense. Yeah they are cool but what purpose does it serve? tires are expensive and thats more money wasted that you could be putting into your driveline/suspension etc etc. I can honestly say 100% ive never done a burnout on the street in any of my vehicles.

I would look at some gears. My car had 4.10s in it when I bought it and I wouldn't have it any other way. Most guys with autos run 3.73s it seems, I don't know why, but I would look at gears. My car might not beat everything on the street, but its a blast to drive with those 4.10s.

And I plan on doing H/C/I on my car eventaully, and I have 170k miles. As long as you take care of it, the 5.0s will last forever.

If you want your car louder... after you swap in headers if it isnt loud enough by some slp mufflers, I have them on my car and I love them, and trust me they are loud :thumb: ... I wasnt sure if you already bought and intake or not if you didnt, after you get your exhaust how you want it, buy a bigger throttle body and cold air intake, unless you have the money to buy all that and the intake, that would be cool... anyways thats just my two cents, good luck with your car man!

I am sorry that you are having a charging issue. I warn him about the headlight dimming issue. May be you you have some kind of booming sound system and need the "Juice"

My pulleys are march. you can always reinstall your factory alternator pulley back on to make up for the loss.

Get them or don't get them is up to you.

Opinion without the explanation is useless :nonono:

It's your money. Spend it the way you want. just make sure to get the quality parts.

Good luck :thumb:

i hope thats not aimed at me because i gave my explanation.

they gave me charging issues and didnt add jack for power. i essentially wasted $100.

Ive done a few burn outs here and there on my old tires and as for racing, idrive hard, not beating on it but on the high way im crusin at 80 or so, as for racing when the time calls i may drop it down to second gear to run over some civic or what not, ive paid my price for launchin it tho, cracked my tail shaft had to replace that lol

i really didnt read all this stuff but if your wanting to make more power instead of buying the intake then heads blah blah.. why not just save up for the trick flow top end kit...?

then put your headers and exhasut.. magnaflow makes a really good exhaust that is like slps but sounds better my opinion.... def. get gears.. 3:73 are a better driving gear..

and def build you a tranny yours since a girl had might not of got beat on as much but some dumb ass had mine befor me well i now have a built tranny. :dancing6:
long story short..
