I never posted any pictures of my car but figured I'd go ahead and throw up a few. Nothing special, but I do love this car. I was a previous owner of a Black on Black 96 Cobra a few years ago but had to sell it to get a truck unfortunately. I sold the truck a little over a year ago and picked up this 97 GT.

It had 143K miles on it but the previous owner just rebuilt it when I bought it. Stock bottom end freshened up, as well as majority of the top end. Everything else was pretty much stock besides the 262 Comp Cams he installed and the full exhaust system. It now has 166K + and still running strong! Well, as strong as a GT can anyway. This is my daily driver and I don't drive it like Miss Daisy, it doesn't get constantly beat on, but I do some spirited driving from time to time. My kids love it and I hope to keep this one for a while and make it into what I really want someday.

A little list of it's modifications to date:

262 Comp Cams - mild street cam
SCT tuned
Densecharger CAI with K&N filter
MSD ignition
BBK shorties, Bassani high flow catted X-pipe, Flowmaster American Thunder Series catback
Ram HD clutch
MGW Orange handle short shifter
Hurst pistol grip
Mach 1 chin spoiler
Black projector headlights with 6000K HID's
Full Amber corners
Full Amber fogs with 3000K HID's
OEM Gunmetal 10th Anniversary Cobra's with 275/40 Goodyear F1's

Mods I have just waiting to be put on:

Bilstein struts and shocks
Coilovers for the front with QA1 14-175 springs
MM 4 bolt Caster/Camber plates
Full 2001 GT PBR brakes front and rear
Powerslot rotors front and rear
Hawk HP pads
Ford Racing PI intake
Spoilerless decklid

It's a slow work in progress but I think she's coming along very well. I hope to get all the waiting parts installed before the bad winter weather, but then again, it might be better to keep the 4x4 stance until after the winter!

The day I brought her home:

I haven't snapped any real good pictures of it's current state, but here's one I just took:

Hope to get some real nice pictures taken when I get the other mods installed and get the windows tinted and possibly the taillights smoked.

Thanks for looking!

Your car would looks really nice! It would really set it off a lot more if you lowered it though.

Nice ride.

Thanks man, I know...I've had these coilovers for over 3 months now with no time to put them on and it's killing me! It'll be lowered here soon though, I can't take the 4x4 look anymore haha

I love the way the Mach1 wheel's look on your car!

like everyone said lower it, get some wider tires for the rear and a 1in. spacer and that will be one bad pony!

mygreengt - I'll try to get a sound clip for ya. I just got the Droid X, so once I figure it out some, I'll get a sound clip. It's got a nice hearty American muscle sound to it if you ask me. :D

CruizinKev - Thanks man!

Venomous96Cobra - Thanks bro! The first strip of pics is from the day I brought her home. I no longer have the Mach 1 wheels. The last picture is what my car looks like currently. OEM 10th Anniversary 17x9 Cobras with 275/40 Goodyear F1's and 1" H&R spacers for the rear.

Here's a few more pics I took this weekend. Sorry, I don't own a decent camera so these are all cell phone pics. The lighting wasn't the greatest either, it was a nice sunset, but I couldn't catch the right angle for a decent shot.

LOL, I'm not a Star Wars geek or anything but I thought it was hilarious too! I was freaking busting out for like 10 mins watching this thing, don't ask me why...at the time it was just the funniest thing to me. I still laugh at it but not as hard as the first few times I watched it.

Yea, it was just the lighting and the cell phone camera. They're actually really bright yellow. Amber fogs with 3000K HID's in them.
