Ugh...

Ok...my alarm remote button was getting stuck. I opened the remote up, cleaned it and put it back together...no fix. It for some reason wants to get stuck and kicks the alarm on/off/on etc. because it is being pushed/stuck in. So I said fvck it, took the alarm remote off my key chain and kept it in the house and just used the ford key to lock and unlock the car. I have been doing this for about 2 months with no issue.

Yesterday, I drive to my nephews baseball game...pulled into a parking spot, no problem.

I go to leave and unlock the door by hand, and get in and the alarm is going off. :confused1: I never set the alarm because the remote is at home. So my wife drives home and she comes back with the alarm remote. Mean while the red light is flashing inside like the alarm is set. Now, the alarm will not respond to the remote at all. Any ideas? I am assuming I need to just cut the main power wire to this alarm???

The only problem is I didn't install this alarm, it was installed 15 years ago. I don't even see the box under the dashboard.. :angry7:

Any other ideas?? I don't know sh1t about car alarms.

check behind the drivers kick panel, there are alot of connections inside of there.

How old is your battery? 3 out or 4 times when an alarm starts to go wacky it means the battery is starting to go bad, just barely on the verge but it is now officially bad.

I just bypassed it with the valet switch.

I really wanna fix the issue, not band-aid it but for now it's working.
