my attempt at the "infamous roller paint" job

ok since i dont have a butt load of money to drop on a nice paint job id figure id do the roller paint..since i have a couple of personal friends that have done it and 1 of them is on this site(Brad) and his turned out pretty good so here are some pics and the steps i have taken so far..

1/4/2011.a couple friends and i spent all day yesterday and this morning doing the body work and gettin it all sanded down,and replacing the front nd rear bumpers,nd the header panel.here it is all sanded down and washed nd dried off..

mosdef..im going to have the first coat done today,then 2nd coat 2morro which will b follwed by a 600 grit wetsand which will then be followed by coats 3,nd 4 followed by 800 grit wetsand then coat 5,nd 6 followed by 1000 grit wetsand and the same after coat 7 nd 8 shud take me about a week

Yes I've done it many times. Im helping him out so He can do it and hopefully come out with minimal orange peel before He wetsands.

White is much more forgiving for the "budget" paint jobs. I rattle canned my old fox white when i was a broke 16 year old and it didnt look that bad.

The bright blue one and the red one...and parts of the one in my sig...only thing is about the one in my sig, the black isnt dark enough and that pisses me off..heres a few pics.

Lookin good Peter. Make sure u sand it by hand tomorrow with 600 grit, thats gonna take off a good bit of paint from your first 2 coats , but its gonna lay down the orange peel, so your 3-4 coats will go on just as smooth. Make sure you sand it WELL it usually takes me about an hour to sand everything if I dont take a break. make sure the paper is wet.

Yes mirrors for sure. Can't wait to see how it turns out. It's a lengthly process.
