Well I was tired of looking at the curb rash on all of the wheels, and I was also tired of seeing the same exact bullitts on every other stang around here lol. So I decided to give them a new coat of paint. I am very happy with the way they turned out, I sanded down the curb rash with 220 and then hit the whole wheel with 1500 and then 2000, finally I sprayed the whole wheel semi-gloss black.

Anyways here are some fresh pics, nothing special though...

Thanks everybody. And I'm gonna see if I can get some black lugs at work tomorrow, and then I'll take off the chrome valve sleeve and put some black valve caps on it.

I think it looked a lot better before should've done the centers matte and left the polished lip if anything, and you need some dark 5% tint to pull it off. Can't rock the fishbowl look with matte wheels LOL.

I was just gonna do the centers, but that wouldn't have gotten rid of the curb rash that was on the rims and that was my main concern.

I hate to be a negative nancy... ... ... but, the all black, esp a semi-gloss or flat black looks like you're rolling on donuts. not a fan, I'd at least do some kind of a pinstripe on the lip. heck anything, blue, gold, silver, something.

I'm not big on all black rims. But I am impressed.... those look good. IMO though, the best looking rim on a blue car is stock bullits. The grey with the polished lip just sets the car off.

This is what I am talking about.

Thanks for all the feedback everybody. I'm not really a huge fan of all black rims myself, but I just wanted these to look better for the time being. It'll be getting a whole new wheel and tire setup after these bfg's are done, and they are getting really close to it. Most likely around the holidays is when I'll be getting a new setup.

Not a fan of all black wheels, need something go break it up.also not sure that paint is goijg to hold up that well as for chipping.1000/1500 grit is for wet sanding/color sainding for Orange peel or polishing, never want to prep with anything above 600 or below 320-400 so the paint has something to bite to yet its notcourse enough to show the sand scratches.just a helpful tip for everyone.bc curious to see a blue lip as well
