If you're going to do it, go ahead and go with Team Z instead of QA1. The price difference is very little for the difference in quality you'll get. Just be prepared for more noise if it's a street car with coilovers. You can do a little to help it, like wrapping the strut body with electrical tape to keep the coilover sleeve from rocking around, but it's going to make more noise.

I got the front team z kit, tubular k member, a-arms, and strange 10 way adjustable coilovers. But like Duffy, I haven't had the chance to drive it yet.

I run the QA1 tubular kmember and a-arm kit, along with the upr coilover kit with qa1 12" 300lb springs with koni yellow sport double adjustable shocks and struts. I will say that if I had to do it again, I would probably have went with a different kmember and a-arm setup. The qa1 works fine, but the a-arms move your front wheels forward and out some. I dont really care for that part of it.

It's usually about 3/4". Mine does the same thing, most of them do. It didn't cause any problems on my car, and actually eliminated the problem of my 9" wide front wheels rubbing on my huge front swaybar back before I ripped everything off to go drag racing. It also makes the wheels more centered in the front wheel wells. Stock they sit toward the back of the centerline.

Here's a picture. The white Cobra has a stock K-Member, where my Bullitt has the 3/4" offset. Most people don't even notice, but if you put them side by side, you can tell.

Most of the k-members that I've seen move control arms forward about that much. My MM piece did the same. It will give you on average 2 more degrees of caster than you already had, which would make it more stable. Moving front control arms forward also slightly improves the weight distribution, since the wheel base gets stretched.

the forward movement didn't bother me, i don't like that it pushed the wheels out more. If I was running skinnies I guess it wouldn't matter but I run a 9 inch wheel up front and its noticeable

According to MM, doing rear coilovers on a car you don't plan on racing very often is unnecessary. I only did the front end on mine and it handles and rides very nice! Adjustable rear control arms are a must, def on my agenda.

Rear coilovers add some problems on a street driven car as well if you don't use helper springs with them. When you pull into uneven driveways, they tend to unseat the rear springs.

I was trying to find a good picture of mine with the K-Member and 9" front wheels, since mine pushed the wheels out slightly, but this is the best I could find. It didn't push them out enough to cause any problems. 9" wheels with 255's on them:

Sorry to pull up a dead thread but I have UPR coilovers upfront with 12" 250 pound spring. I have 17x8 rims upfront right now but I wanted to go to an 18x9 rim upfront. I noticed there is very little room between the spring and the inside edge of the rim right now. If i go with the 18x9 is it going to rub or does that extra inch just extend the outside of the rim out more and doesn't effect the spacing on the inside?
