yes its a beetle, i already know, but it gets about 26 mpg pretty much flooring it every light. also it is a limited edition 2002 Turbo S and makes a whopping 180 hp 177 lbtq. it also runs 15.0. also my parents gave it to me, so cant argue too much.

and just to add some old pics of the cobra before i put new ones up. (just to make me feel better)

Not my favorite, but the wheels help.

And I still have to respect you since you have a 4v with a blower

i dont really like it either, but when gas prices were through the roof a while back (over 4 per gallon) my parents sold my 01 silverado with a full system, minor motor work, and other odds and ends because the transmission started to go after we replaced it with a reman. one. the stock trans died at 78000 mile and the replacement went back to the dealer for service on for 3 times in 10000 miles. my parents got tired of it sold it and they got a new 08 outlander v6 fully loaded with every option, my sister got my moms galant, and i ended up with the car my sister used to drive. but oh well. at least i can keep the cobra well rested for select days of mischief.

a tune on that car will pick up like 50 hp and 90 ft lb tq

those turbo vw's love chips

ive thought about doing stuff to it, but i figured mods for cobra > mods for the beetle.

thats true.....Im not saying dump thousands into the beetle...the only mod that's really worth a shit is chipping it...but its worth its weight in gold.

400 bucks and its like adding a blower to a stock npi...lol

i guess ill look into it if its around 400 bucks, that would be some decent power for the price. if it adds that much power ill have a beetle with 230 hp and 265 tq. that might be fun in a car that is around 3000 lbs.

Yea...well the differance really is huge, mostly the torque differance is big...check out apr and revo.

Apr claims 215hp and 247 ft lb compared to the stock...so 35 hp and like 75 ft lb..

doesnt seem like much but that beetle is probably only 2900 lbs...so it should move along very good.

People run low 14s with just a chip in them

that would be pretty cool and prolly surprise a few people in the process. maybe exhaust and intake too would help out. have to see how much a good exhaust, intake and chip would cost. but that chip i think ill have to do, that is a major differance.

Everything is expensive as dick...I wouldnt even waste your money on anything other than a chip....you might need a better fuel pressure regulator or something when you get the chip cause it takes boost from like 10 psi to 20 psi at certain points

yea i was just looking and the cheapest price for a down pipe and cat back that i could find was $1000. so the chip would be likely, although i was reading about them and id prolly have to get a new diverter valve along with the fuel pressure regulator.
