A great plan for the mountaineer motor is pull it abpart to rebuild amd refresh. Grab a cam from hereor corral.net. can usually get a good medium cam (e303, tfs stage 1 etc.) For a good price well below retail. New valve springs to match cam. They are cheap new so go with new ones, and you will need new pushrods which can be had for 40-100 bucks depending on brand and where you get them. Best to buy new to insure they are all straight and in working order. Throw it all back together and swap into your mustang. A set of headers and a tb wo wrap it up. Btw I have a set of mac headers ill let go for cheap as soon as I vet off my ass and go get them from the shop. I wemt longtubes so I dont need them

Still got those mac headers?
I grew a hole in my left muffler so I'm replacing the exhaust. Just ordered Flowmaster American Thunder Catback and BBK O/R H-Pipe. FIRST MODS!!!

Nice ride. Start with these mods in this order so you get the most out of it with the least down time.

Verts need Frame Connectors
Suspension
Axles & Gears
Exhaust (Since you might not look good yet, at least you'll sound good.)
Transmission
Interior
Engine (Higher on the list if it's not reliable.)
Exterior (It's last because what good is fresh paint if you're constantly under it or yanking out the engine & trans scratching up the paint?)

It's not a "Cool guy/Instant Gratification order put it gets things done and in a way where you don't have to do things twice.

If there's anything I can pass along it's do your supporting mods first so you don't break shit after you start making real power and remember it's not a sprint.
