Re: Had new lights put on!!

If I clean it today, it'll be dirty by tom. I live in a very dirty & dusty town! We still have dirt roads! I tried to knock the bad stuff down to not so bad. I'll wash it on my way out of town. Let the 50 miles trip dry it, I'll stop I dry what doesn't blow off.

Re: Had new lights put on!!

The LH one had lost all of its reflective/chrome stuff. The RH one, I'm not sure what it did. It still shined OK, but looked like crap! Art asked me to send them both back to him. They are not even worth any $, they're so bad!

I just recognized! Look @ the LH light in that 1st pic! I took it the day after I got my car back, 5/22. It appears to have the reflective/chrome stuff! Not sure what this means, though.

Re: Had new lights put on!!

I hope that Meguiar's Ultimate Quix Wax stuff will work?

With as bad as my vertigo is, waxing it a lot is almost impossible now. It kicks me in the nuggets just to wash it! I knew waxing it would keep it clean longer though. I never really had 'nice' cars, but I kept each 4 spotless!! Even just spraying that & wiping it off will still be a pain, but I was going to suck it up & do it! I'm not using an excuse, though! Cleaning up my car the way I want it takes like 2-3 days.

Re: Had new lights put on!!

Just went out to see my lights @ dark. They suck!!! The dims are my brights, bright are dim. Again, my RH side light is not good! Oh yeah, on my 1st set of eBay cheapos, pass side never shined right! I've heard that vvme's customer service isn't even worth attempting! I will this time buy from an American company. At least in English! All I know of is from Stang Mods. This one:
Dual Beam HID Headlight Conversion Kit for 87-04 Mustangs
In the 4300K
Regular Price $399.95
Sale Price $279.95

If I've got to do it, I'll save up! Anyone heard anything about these? Wasted that $110.

Dude dont mess with VME's or whatever they are called. Hidguy.net all day. I got my bixenon kit from them. Customer service is amazing and it is a quality kit that come with slim ballast's to hide in your car. And did you silicone your headlights because you might go through another pair, ask me how I know.

JerZeyStangz, added them to my bookmarks, too. I have bought 2 sets of these lights. Both has been bad. I'm just following my luck w/HID's, thinking I will prob need to contact customer service? I have them, Stang Mods, & that XenTec's. I'll wait to hear more about set-ups. I just know mine are not that good.

Re: My HID's suck!!

I was looking into buying 1 of those!! How does that work, though. I heard it's bad to just rub dirt around on my car! I thought it sucked the dirt/dust from your car, though! That's all I can remember from the commercial I saw years ago!!

On my lights, nothing but my terrible luck!! I just told Javi, it he would have gotten these lights, they would have worked fine. I just have bad luck with these things. Oh well, I guess!

thats because you arent using them in projectors. thats what they do when theyre not used in the correct housings. every car ive driven that has had HID's incorrectly installed into the wrong housings, have worked exactly the way you are describing it, including mine.

the beam output given off by metal halide bulbs is not designed to emit correctly in housings meant to be used with halogen bulbs, being the reason why your high and low beams are all screwed up. dual beam HID's are meant to be used in a bi-xenon projector (like what is used on a lot of BMW's and Mercedes'), because the lens used with those bulbs is designed to correctly emit a high and low beam.

youre just another person that has come to the realization that just because theyre brighter, doesnt mean theyre better in the state youre using them.
