Little over a week ago I was hit on the drivers side of my car, damage was to the qtr panel, door and my brand new rim as well. No frame damage at all.

Been fighting with insurance every day since then. Their adjuster gave a quote which was so low that there was no possible way to get the car repaired for that price. Had to fight over every little detail such as the fact that my car is Laser Red (OEM 3 stage paint and very pricey paint as well)

The hard part was that the numbers were getting very close to the amount that would total the car so I was really trying to work with them.

Looks like it is finally settled but I have decided to kick in some extra $$ and get the entire car repainted while it is in the shop since my OEM 1996 paint has seen better days. The shop estimates 3-4 weeks so not sure if the car will be back in time for the spring cruise or not.

Now, on to the pictures

It was a young girl, she got out of the car crying too

At this point I am just glad the car is getting redone and not totalled. Like I said it is costing me some $$ out of my pocket since I am repainting the entire car but that was a must to me, no way they could of blended the paint enough where it wouldn't be noticable.

Damn, you and me both. Been fighting with insurance & the shop for about a month now. I've had to refuse the car twice due to them still not fixing odds and ends.

Good luck getting it fixed!

How could you not see Red? Doesn't look too bad, but it's in a hard to fix area. Hope the rest of your experience goes well and you get it back in "perfect" order.

Joekd, I admire your passion to not give up on your SN95. I pray that never happens to me because getting 15+ yr old car fixed is very hard with insurance companies.

Car goes in Monday, it now sits on the OEM 16" wheels and I cleaned out all my stuff

3-4 weeks while it is in the shop is going to seem like forever

glad to hear everyone is okay. Thats a decent shot man, Ive been working as an adjuster for Progressive for 2 years, and from looking at that I would think its a borderline total as well. Good luck with it all!

damn man, that sucks! My step mom backed into my quarter panel, and i got most of it out by myself and had to replace the scoop. Not to get off topic, but what front seats are those?
