Hello, All!!! I had tons of questions about how my car was built on my intro thread, so I will post some about it.

Its a Low mileage(72K when I bought it 3 years ago) 94 Mustang GT in Performance white, with the red and black interior. The car was so stock it still had the boot around the distributor!!  Someone had put aftermarket mufflers on, cutting the stockers off at the axle. they hung them with dog chain!!! ghetto!! it also had white corner markers. I never did like the "euro" side markers. I score the car the week after I got back to Hawaii from deployment. How the transaction occured is another thread.

so the car stayed stock for a while, then a friend of mine made me a killer deal on a Griggs racing front suspension, complete with Koni Yellows, 350# specific rate springs in front, 200# specific rate in back, and all delrin bushings in the front, and 98 Cobra sway bars front and back. I also installed the rear control arms at this time, they are Competition Engineering tubular lowers, boxed uppers and urethane bushings everywhere but the axle on the top. it now looked something like this. this pic shows the Saleen S351 hood that made it on the car just after the engine swap, so the pictures are not chonological.

I also had a 88 GT 5.0 project car, I was gonna use it for a drag car. well, I slid it into a curb, destroying the front end, and it never did drive straight after that. So, I parted it out, and used the engine block and rotating assembly for another project. I also got some goodies in the mail. they looked like this

Shortly after this, I had the car tuned, and the poor BFG KDWS all season tires couldnt keep up anymore. so I started to look around for wheels.  A friend of mine told me about a set of Halibrand Cobra 3 wheels in 18X9 and 18X10 deep dish, and I had to have them.  I then ordered a set of BFG KDW 2 tires.
the car now looks like this, with a few exeptions.

Thanks for the compliments all!!

the latest mods include the 94-95 13" Cobra front brake conversion, including Russell stainless steel brake lines all around, and playing with the tune to make it work. The car currently runs an Anderson Ford Motorsport Programmable Management System for tuning, and it works okay. it seems to fight with the stock computer, and sometimes it doesnt work well at all. like when the car stalls at an intersection when I am waving at a cute girl. i don't think 30# injectors help much, as Rick Anderson says that they are on the edge of tuning reliably.

I also designed my own intake, and I used 4" PVC and heat blanket to make it work. I got rid of the bend into the fender that many aftermarket companies put there as a "cold air intake". BS, the engine bay gets cold air from around the headlights when you are moving, verified by the air charge reading on the data logger. I also took out the fog lamps, as they are pretty worthless anyhow. This gives it a ram air effect, pressurizing the fender and forcing air into the intake anyways. The whole reason for this is when I had the car on the dyno, and disconnected the elbow before the MAF, and it ran way lean, telling me that there is more potential for power there. since I pulled that elbow out, gave it more fuel and balanced the timing, it makes way more power.

Ive also been debating painting the car. The car regularly sees track time, with speeds as high as 130 MPH, and the constant threat of sliding into the wall. If I do paint it, it will be the white that comes on the 99-04 Mustangs, called Crystal White, and I may paint the hood semi gloss black (matte) in the center, with a white pinstripe and white on the flatter parts of the hood. I guess I will have to find pics.

Oh, I forgot to add, the car has the American Thunder Flowmaster cat back kit, the BBK no cats x pipe and BBK equal length shorty headers, ceramic coated. The cat back was put on shortly after I got the car, as the ghetto dog chain exhaust hangers got to me. every time I would go over a bump, the car would squeak for about 10 seconds noticeably. The american thunders really are loud, as my neighbors like to tell me when I take her out for a spin. I guess it may be louder than my 2004 harley with aftermarket exhaust, but I dunno.

Also, the block is blueprinted, balanced, and aligned honed with torque plates. also gasket matched courtesy of Trick Flow, as the top end kit was top notch, best quality ever. the bottom end is all stock 88 GT, and it may have alot of miles, but it still works!!! the rods were re conditioned, shot peened and magna fluxed, or checked for cracks. it has ARP bolts throughout, and a Trick FLow tool steel stud girdle is in effect. I put it in the car with a MOROSO kick out style road race oil pan, and it holds 7 quarts. This combo was good for 300HP and 334 Ft Lbs torque at the wheels, corrected on a DynoJet.

The rest of the drivetrain consists of the 3rd stock T5 that has been put in (broke 2 drag racing), a Fidanza aluminum flywheel weighing 15 lbs, and a Hays street/strip clutch. worst clutch ever. the driveshaft is an aluminum piece from Griggs, meant to work when you set the engine back 1.5 inches as I have. this really helps balance the car, as the rear used to want to pass the front in corners. now it just squats and goes, like a sports car should. the rear is stock for now, with 308 gears. I plan on 327 gears, and I have a full axle rebuild with C clip eliminators and a Saleen stud girdle soon to go in.

I'm shure I forgot some stuff, as there is waAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much money, time and effort in this car, but damn, is it fun to drive. If i was to build another car, I think I would have done it exactly the same way.

Surprisingly, those wheels look awesome. Bold and original. Any more pics of the interior? I'm debating on swapping out my faded red(looks pink) and black interior for all black, but still on the fence because I havent actually seen a nice condition porno red interior. Great build so far.

Yeah, i noticed that if one of these cars with the red interior sits out side, then it fades quickly.  red is the worst to keep true, as UV attacks this color first.  My seats are fading on the shoulders that face windows in front, and the rear seat is faded some on the top.  Of course, it sits in a garage unless im driving it, so that helps alot.  The car was well taken care of before I got it.
here is a pic as the car sits now, not much has changed inside over the years.

This pic is of the day that I got it, the sun was out, and the camera was crappy, hence the pink hue. the pic above is a far better representation of the color. Personally, I like the red interior on this model Mustang, as it doesnt have too much red. the cut of black down the door panel and across the dash split it up nicely, in my humble opinion!!

I am reeally liking your car, I havent ever seen a nice looking red interior, all the ones around here are drastically faded and just plain ugly.

yeah, that is the plan, like the above pic, exept more white on the leading edge, and a pin stripe to line it all up. the car is kind of on hold until summer, when I can make more money to put into it. being a college student doesnt really pay well.

Thanks again for all the good feedback, this site ROCKS!!!

Thanks, man!!! the floor mats are now the black rubber ones that have the blue oval on them, and they say "ford Tough" if you look close. other than that, not much else has changed.
