heyyy guys! so here's my ride, all black 1994 GT; my driving project. Only had it about a week lol, bought it for a steal, when I bought it it came with a no-name CAI, magnaflows with cat delete, MSR rims off a neon. Had to add cats to get it through aircare, so it sounds pretty pinner as it is. off-road H-pipe and thrush mufflers coming very soon!

Haven't got much money to throw at it yet, i'm only 19 so my mods are kind of limited paycheck-to-paycheck lol, especially considering this is my DD so I can't take it off the road for any real long amount of time... but! I've definitely started.

Found this thing hanging out at some dealership in a seedy part of town; it drove nice and had a good price so I took it home with me.

Night after I first bought it;

Took it home and cleaned it up a bit, paint is looking mint!

The corner lights were one of my BIGGEST pet peeves, I hate the yellow corners with a passion. ESPECIALLY on a black stang. So I drove out to burnaby today and got these for only $30;

much better. lol.

These arrived just a couple days ago too, $76 ebay special! 3" lowering springs :D

That's all I have to show for now. Next up after the lower is to tint the tails just a little bit, and get myself an off-road H-pipe. Having cats just sucks. I'll update as I go along!

lowering it 3 inches is gunna be too low imo and 205s is going to look awful, be prepared to need caster/camber plates so you dont wear those front tires out. Good luck with it though and enjoy modding it.

^^^Agreed, 3" is way too much, you are going to need caster/camber plates, shocks, and struts to do it right at the bare minimum.

Also FYI, it's not triple black unless it's a convertible with a black top or an old muscle car with a vinyl hard top.

Nice car though, looks clean...interior shots?

don't waste your time installing those springs. you will regret having a stang lowered 3" if you daily drive it.
sell them and go for a different set. i got mine off ebay as well for around $70, and they're a 2" drop.

1. the car looks great.

although its not my car i'd highly reconsider those springs.
1. who makes them?
2. a 3" drop will has tremendous adverse affect on the ride geometry.
3. bottoming out will make your lose teeth fillings.
4. finding a shock/struts combo to match the height will be tough.

i'm not saying its impossible. the car looks great. We here at SN95 will help you, if you're interested.

Welcome, nice ride!!! My car is dropped 3.25 inches about and I daily'd my car for years like that. Everyone is different. So if you like them, then rock then and don't listen to everyone else.

I do agree with needing CC plates and shocks/struts. Just a warning even with CC plates on my car I still couldn't get it into factory alignment specs(factory spec was -0.5 IIRC). So mine is set up at -1.0 degrees of camber. It does wear the inside of my tires more than the outside but it takes a hella long time for that to actually become a problem on my setup

How does it ride...what wheel size do you have?

Its a little stiff but not bad overall. I have KYB AGX adjustable shocks so that makes a big difference too, depending upon what setting I have them on.

Honestly, the ride doesn't bother be one bit. Drove it from Portland Oregon to Reno for hot August 2 years ago. 11 hours one way and not a single complaint about the ride here

I'm personally looking forward to a 3 inch drop, I'm not worried about ride comfort to be honest. in the future I'll get some nice coilovers or something but, at the moment I can't afford to throw a grand at some coilovers or something. I think 3" will be perfect with some stretched tires and rolled fenders, I've got a fender roller already. I think the tires I have now are too big for the rim, and the rims wrong for the car. My goal is chrome Y2K's, 18x10 all around

DUMPED it today. Lowering springs were a fake, advertised as 3" lower, it ended up lowering the fronts maybe 1.5 inches and the rear half an inch at best. Super unhappy.

Took them out, cut 2 coils off the rear and 2.25 off the fronts. couldn't be happier. Rides like a bag of rocks, but I'm okay with that :) Form > Function!

Also dewinged, and lightly smoked the tails as you can tell. Got the wheels about 2 weeks ago off a friend, Boss Motorsports 338's, 18x9 in front and 10 in the rear! Riding on 245/35s up front and 275/35s in the rear. PERFECT offsets.

i'm now in love with my car.

i'm not sure how much I ended up dropping it, like I said, the apparent "3 inch lowering springs" were like one inch. and nothing in the back. Made me really mad after doing all that work, and there's basically no change.. so I trimmed them. 2 coils off the rear and 2 and a quarter off the fronts. I might just be purely on bumpstops.

e/ Forgot to add, I have cats and straightpipes for exhaust now, left the cats for aircare purposes and ripped out the magnaflows, they sounded like trash.
