Well, Since I'm working full time and will have to commute to trade school next year, I bought a new SUV to replace my slowly rusting away Exploder. It is a 2005 Ford Escape XLT No Boundaries Edition. Loaded with everything except leather and sunroof. I love the Mach 300 sound system, has a built in woofer and sounds REALLY good, almost as good as my stang! Love driving this thing, such a smooth and quiet ride vs. the Stang.

Nice DD man,I like that roof rack.
Me too, one of the reasons why I bought this one :p. Technically it's not "really" my daily driver but will be sharing DD duties with my mustang as well. But the different coloured skidplates and roof rack are part of this "No boundaries" package offered on the Escape, Don't know if it was Canada exclusive or not. I will end up plated this vehicle from October-April then plating my Mustang May-August for the nicer months :).

Sounds like a good plan, you won't put a lot of miles of either.

Also, the roof rack reminds me of the Xterras

Escapes are good little cars just for the heads up. Just keep up with it. I've never seen a no boundaries version in the US.

Thought it was a Canadian package, because I remember them doing Canadian "No Boundary" ads back in the day. Working at a Ford dealer, I was only going with a Ford and it was this, an Explorer or an Edge. Explorer are too big and "clunky" and would be rougher on gas. As for the Edge, I wouldn't be able to swing the payments on one, about $10k out of my range. I know what issues the escapes have, so I know what to look at least. Had lots of scratches on it before the pictures, about half an hour with some scratch compound and some rubbing and 98% of them were gone!

Thats cool, didn't know that. I honestly love the different colour skid plates, make the vehicle look a little more agressive. I wonder how much it would cost to get the plastic bumpers body painted lol

not what I'd choose, but whatever foats your boat I guess.
What are you driving these days anyways? I have a sports car and since I needed a more reliable winter vehicle, a focus/fusion was out of the question. Trying to find a vehicle that is good in snow and rides comfortably is rare, and escapes are great SUVs. Out of curiosity, what would you get?

I wouldn't suggest getting the bumpers painted. They look better, but alot of the techs that have to drive to school in their own vehicles end up coming back with major rock chips on there cars/trucks. I'd leave it that way, less to keep up with. Not to mention if it is a grained plastic then you have no way of smoothing it out without a ton of work.

That's what I was thinking, I wasn't sure if they COULD paint the plastic properly without it looked weird. I'll keep it as is for now :)
