Well, finally got a way to host pics and get them up here for y'all to see. I am in Afghanistan currently, working for the military, army in particular. I started on this car as a dd, 4cyl black on black coupe. I love this car. It looked like crap for years before it became what you see here today. I really like racing it and didn't want to see it sit and rot while I was gone, so I have a friend of mine driving it and my buddy Matt S crewing for it. The driver's name is Matt Johnson, and he is 5th in points currently in NMRA real street. These pics are of me driving it last year, and us having too much traction and no more suspension adjustments. It's a long story, here are pics. It sucked for et, but really was great for getting my car out there, been in six magazine articles so far, only one mentions my name, but who cares, I can say my car was in a mag!!!!
Enjoy!
this first one is from Joliet IL, Rt 66 dragway last year.
These next ones are from Bowling Greene KY, NMRA world finals last year in October. It came off of all four wheels and then came down on the left rear, and darted towards the wall, I let out of it instantly and it came down hard, but didn't hit the wall, and only caused minor damage. We fixed the wheel with a ten pound bar bell weight, a 2X4 and a sledge in my friend Bruce Hemminger's trailer. Then went out for the next round.
These next ones are from the next round. I was expecting it this time, and shifted into second as soon as I felt it going up, it still came up high but just more controlled and stayed on the two rear wheels.
Enjoy!
