Okay, better late than never. lol. I finally finished with the daughter's car. All of the Cobra body parts are on, the decals applied, the windows tinted and the new top installed. Over the holidays, I also put in a new hood liner, trunk liner, a dual sub setup and 1" rear wheel spacers. Now she is ready for summer cruising again!

Now that's something you dont see everyday. A v6 swapped to a cobra replica. Looks great now! Any plans to cobratize the rims also?

I don't know if we'll do the wheels or not. She wanted a Cobra look alike, so that's what we built (except for the 05 Mustang wheels that I got cheap). It's not a DOHC, it's a stock 96 GT motor. We installed a full exhaust with Ford Racing headers, the factory six cat H-pipe, and no mufflers. It's almost the perfect car for her, it sounds really fast, but it's not. lol.

96dkgreengt - Thanks.

i5.Ohhhi - It's not intended to be a perfect replica. It already had a spoiler on it that looked good, so she is happy with it as-is.

det_riot - I'm glad she prefers V8's too. Now I know she's my daughter. lol.

US Soldier - Thanks, and I know you're not just saying that because you have a green car too. lol.

Bouttime09 - I don't think any of her 20 year old female college roommates would care if it's a real Cobra or not. Seriously though, I think it would only matter if she ever tried to sell it, which she won't. She doesn't misrepresent it anyway, she tells people it's a 96 Mustang. She doesn't call it a Cobra. If anyone asks, she tells them we converted it. I think she thinks it's cooler to have a car with so much work done to it than it would be to have a real cobra. Personally, I'd rather have a real one, but as long as she is happy, I am happy.

He's not huge, but they got engaged a couple of weeks ago, so she now has a fiance.

oh yeah and talk about bringin this thread back from the dead, lol

Sometimes I get sidetracked on my car projects. A better example would be that I put new carpet in my 69 Torino on 12/20/2009. What's so funny about that? The fact that I bought the new carpet on 1/20/1986. lol.
