ok i have a 94 mustang gt. My 5 speed whines in 1-3rd and if i power shift in to 3rd it grinds ever once and a wile going in to the gear. so i am looking to rebuild or get a new trans. Let me know what your guys think and if you have a good set up you would like to share.

I am looking to spend under $2000 including the shop to take it out rebuild it and then put it back in with a new clutch/flywheel.

It already has king cobra clutch in it but it was put in 40k miles ago so i thought it would probably be worth just putting a new one in.

let me know what ya guys think

thanks JJ

Its typical for a T5 to whine.

As for the raking while going into gear, sounds like the synchro is on its way out, or the shift fork is bent (even slightly)

That is what I have in my vert. No complaints. Other than it being a manual. LOL. I'm an auto guy.
