I just finished my On 3 turbo install, and while waiting for a couple parts I pulled the dash to remove the hvac stuff. Put everything back in, installed the parts, and am trying to do my initial start up. Whenever I put the key in the ON position, I pop the #18 fuse under the dash, which is "instrument cluster, transmission control switch module, ccrm, and ignition system" fuse. I assume that's directly related to me not hearing the fuel pump prime as well. Any advice for where to look would be great. This is the only thing stopping me from doing my start up, but I have no idea what the problem could be. I can provide pics or results. And this is on a '95 GT

Dude it could be so many things...Try disconnecting the components listed on that circuit one at a time and turn the key on for each one and check the fuse. You can at least eliminate the majority of wires through that. I'd start with the ccrm. Sounds to me like you either a) forgot to hook something up somewhere and its grounding out poping the fuse or b) pinched a wire causing it to do the same. I'd look at the driver's side CLOSELY under that dash where the majority of the wiring is. Does the fuse pop when you turn it to "ACC" or just "ON?" Does the starter turn over?

Thanks for replying. This is killing me. Sucks when I just finished me install and this is holding me up. I just this morning thought to pull other fuses to isolate the problem. I'm not very good with electrical lol. The fuse pops only when I put it to the ON position. The starter does engage. It cranks but doesn't turn over. And I don't see fuel pressure on my guage, but obviously that's because the pump isn't priming. I'll pull some fuses and go from there, then reply back.

Ok, here's where I'm at. Looks like the under dash fuse #18 only blows when these 2 fuses are in the engine fuse box. Which I think is a good thing because it's ignition related, probably under the dash somewhere if I'm correct.

And just to make sure, I pulled the EEC fuse under the hood, and the under dash #18 still blew. I think that's a good sign. I'm going to pull the dash and check all wiring

Connected all the wires on driver and passenger side 1 at a time, and only 1 blew the fuse. Right by the computer, the one I'm holding. Anyone know what this is? This is my problem...

I unplugged the 2 main plugs in the engine bay on the passenger side by the firewall, and disconnected the ccrm, and the fuse still blew. I don't believe the connector I'm holding in the pic goes out the passenger side. I believe it's connected towards the driver side under the dash in a harness. I pulled the dash and the wiring all looks alright, so I think it's beyond that. I may pull the gas tank and look at that wiring as I did replace the pump and am not hearing it prime. But I wouldn't anyways since the #18 fuse blows when key is in the ON position, right?

Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated....

Here's a picture with my dash out of the car, so this is a rear shot of it. You can see how it ties into the harness. This is the one that, when connected, and the key in the ON position only, blows the fuse.

Can anyone tell me where the ground that's attached to the frame by the driver side front suspension goes to?
