Well, I had to tighten my clutch AGAIN after only 100kms of driving this time! So I crawled under the car, took the cover off to tighten the clutch and the cable is badly frayed at 1 part. I tighten it so I can actually shift/put the car in gear but now I need a new clutch cable before this one gives away. I have a UPR quadrant and a crappy UPR adjustable cable(underneath car). Is there any aftermarket heavy duty cables(I have a centerforce dual friction clutch, a little harder to push than stock) that have a firewall adjuster?

I 100% agree thats what I have and I love it. I have the fiore firewall adjuster and quadrant with the OEM 120k mile cable. I have a new OEM cable sitting in my basement just incase it breaks but it feels good now.

If you don't somehow go back to the use of an OEM Ford cable, you'll be doing this again and again.

Good Luck though, GT

So I need an OEM ford cable and what else? The plastic stock thing broke thats why I have aftermarket right now. Can someone link me to all the parts I need for to get a good set-up? I have a UPR 3 step Quadrant(it's blue I believe).

All you really need is a firewall adjuster then. Fiore is supposed to be the best but its hard to find and they stopped making it other than that I dunno what other brands are good.

I think he means to get the OEM cable and the Fiore Racing quadrant / firewall adjuster set.

I run this combination and it's fabulous! There is a very small mod to the cable required.

The aftermarket cables are thin and don't hold up.

Well, My dad got this POS Granatelli clutch cable which is actually the one in my car(not UPR). I told him to return it and Im going back to stock with plastic quadrant and cable. Replaced the wheel bearing and that solved my hardcore vibration at 70kph and helped my breaking somehow(maybe because I have 275s up front?). Anyways Im getting the new clutch cable on thursday and I have the current one tighten ALOT, so it should hold until Thursday. Mileage was 15mpg last tank, I blame the 10 degree celsuis temps we have been seeing, EGR probably should be replaced too :p. Just wondering though, would having a bad wheel bearing helped contribute to my 16.1 1/4 mile pass last month(plugged cats and shot MAF helped too :p).
