Ok really quick here. My negative battery terminal has been acting up on me and when I go to start my car it will just do the loud click and then nothing has power. What it is, is the small ground that goes to the negative battery terminal has not been getting full contact because the terminal bolt is broke. I have had it happen last night. If someone just holds it, it will start and everything is good.

Problem, it started doing it to me on my way to getting a new terminal. No one to press it done and start, so I try a couple things I tried sticking that one with the bigger ground that also goes to the battery and no matter what I do I still have no power to anything anymore. I used a volt meter and the battery has 12.55 volts and when I put it to either of the two grounds it shows the same but I still dont have even my dome light on. My windows are down and its supposed to rain in a couple hours also. HELP PLEASE.

I guess what im asking is, am I just messing something up here? Or could I have really fucked something up like my PCM or something by screwing up that ground? Any fuses or something I should look at?

Which end did it break on? From the battery or on the chassis? You MIGHT have popped a fuse from it arching out. Those little ground straps are a requirement. I did a wire tuck on my car and thought I could do with out them. No deal. I had no headlights b/c of it. You need those small ground wires hooked up.

Thanks for the help rycleff. Turned out it was that small ground AND the positive that goes to the fuse box was not in the connector all the way. I found out by using the volt meter that the positive was only getting 1.5ish volts so fixed the ground and fixed the positve and its all good.
