Hey everyone,
Ok my 94 stang just started making a noise today that im unsure of. I bought my stang with 150k on the clock and the maintance was not kept up with as far as i can see, so my clutch has been slippin sometimes under hard acceleration and i think its the original. The previous owner was unsure if it had been replaced or not but the cable broke on him so he relaced it with a steeda cable and quadrent. So today under easy acceleration it sounds like a squeeling noice coming from the tranny area like a damn mouse lol, could it be my clutch, throw out bearing any other bearing i need to look into. Any help would be appreciated thanks john

does it go away when you put a lil bit of pressure on the clutch? If so, throw out bearing.

If you're replacing your clutch and T/O bearing you should replace the pilot bearing and the T/O bearing retainer if you can swing it.

bearing retainer on the stock t5s in the foxes was made out of aluminum. over time the tob would wear away material from the retainer. even with a new bearing it would squeak because of this. ford and summit both sell a steel retainer. i am not sure if the sn got the alum one or the steel one. would be worth the look into to find out
