Ok guys I need your help. I just bought my '94 GT about a month ago and I am looking for mods that aren't going to A) put my car out of commission for longer than a day (daily driver) and B) won't put me in the poor house. My new BBK CAI is on the way and short throw shifter. I am looking at improving the HP and torque but don't have the time or money to get too indepth. Any suggestions? :BangHead:

shorty headers, off road H pipe, good cat back, not just welded in mufflers, but the entire cat back. Set timing to 15 degrees, and lose the smog pump. All power adding mods that will be quick and easy to install. Also a gear, but most want that proffessionally done since it can make noise and not work right if it's just bolted in.

If you have to get smogged yearly you might have to forgo the o/r h option unless your willing to swap out the mid pipe every year.

That won't help power wise, you know that.

You're one of the few I would never expect to hear that from.. :dontknow:

Im going to have to agree with NXcoupe on the full catback. I have a full exhaust and it kinda feels good knowing you took the extra time to get everything from the headers back upgraded. Not to mention it sounds pretty sweet.

parts for 94-95 are generally cheaper than 96-98 4valves I'm learning that the hard way! but I would start with:

BBK CAI
off road x pipe
flowmaster or mac cat back
MSD wires, cap, rotor, coil
3.73 gears

agree with everything. Aswell as the cat & exhaust mods.

Just get OEM cap, rotor, and coil. You won't notice any difference.

Some new sparkplugs will help too.

Also to add to the full tune up use synthetic oil. It will make your car last longer.

I am writing all of this because you need a good base before you start building into it.
