I was 3 tenths quicker with the m/t's. I ran consistent 8.6X's all night. One run I trapped 85mph. I still need more time to figure out these new tires but seemed to be the quickest with more air pressure. My first run was the quickest of the night with 24.5psi. Any advise on air pressure with an automatic and no stall? I had my struts set on 1 for the front and 4 on the back. What does everybody else have the best luck with these strange struts and shocks?

I run lakewood 90/10's with coilovers up front and lakewood 50/50's in the back. My dr's like it around 20 psi. Ive only been to the track once since my curent setup which is full bolt ons, weight reduction n crap.

My 1/8th looks like 1.94 8.97 77.44mph.... so u have more power since your like a 99gt w/ bolt ons. You should be able to work that 60' down to a 1.7x

It is a fun car to drive. I still got some bugs to work out after the pi swap. It idle surges really bad when I come to a stop acts like it wants to die but usually finds idle after a few seconds. King Cobra, what size are your drag radials? I for got to metion mine are 255/60/15.

Try lowering the PSI there are better 60' times to be had. 24 is a lot for those tires. You trapped 85MPH b/c your were spinning off the line. The harder you hook the lower your MPH will be but the more you spin the higher your MPH will be. Ive trapped 110 before but with a not so good 60'. Now at 1.6 60' times I trap at 108. I ran those same tires at 15/16 PSI and was getting 1.8 60' times

I was hoping to get low 1.9's or high 1.8's without a stall. But it looks like it might be impossiable. Stall and tranny cooler are in the future. How much quicker would I be in the 1/8th with a stall?

Umm, I highly doubt that will ever happen man...with 4.10 gears and a stock stall you probably wont do any better in the 60 foot department assuming your not dropping weight or gaining a bunch more power.

With a stall you should easily pick up .5 a second.

You can probably pull 1.6-1.7x with a nice stall which should drop .4-.6 off your time

Alright thanks for the info. Where did you get your stall? Are you happy with it?

from my experience in 1/8th mile drags the rule still applies just like 1/4 mile, .2 off the short will give you .4 at the traps.

i'd guess 4-5 tenths if you can get the converter right. just curious how much power did you put down on the dyno.

that makes sense since the stall is really only helping tout of the hole for the most part anyway

Ive got a custom 3800 stall that JR built on this site,

and honestly, I havent even launched the car on slicks and I havent experienced any other stall so its hard to compare or say how I like it.

I would imagine it would launch like hell if I had slicks and it definately seems to help get the car moving in the first couple gears.
However I will say the 3800 seems like too high for the street....I would stick with 3200-3500 if I were you.

Even without launching the car on slicks and getting no traction in first gear my car was picking up .3 tenths of a second in the 1/4.

I had no better 60 foot but once the car hooks the stall gets it into the powerband a lot faster in second gear so thats most likely where all the time came from.
