So I am giong to start installing my clutch, flywheel, cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuter today! hopefully i can figure out how to post some pics and I'll get them on here sometime next week when it is all put back together again.. here is what's going in:

Spec Stage 1
Spec Billet Steel Fly
American muscle clutch cable kit...

Hopefully if i get this in fairly easily I will have the confidence to FINALLY install my 3.73's and new diff bought earlier this spring... We will see!

Sweet, make sure you torque the flywheel, and replace the throwout bearing and pilot bearing.

I would leave the ring and pinion and pinion to a pro. Unless you know how to set preload and backlash, and have the tools to do it right.

Good Luck and have fun!

Well the new parts are on... lol unfortunately I didn't get very far... I couldn't even get the mid pipe or driveshaft off... I had a what I would call decent air compressor (not shop quality but big enough for the air tools) and and impact wrech/air ratchet... no luck...

So I gave in and took it to the local Ford dealer... I figured they would do the best job right... I picked it up last night and well the check engine light now turns on after ~3miles of driving... they claim it was on when they first got in it... but it wasn't on when I dropped it off... so back to the dealer i go tonight, they argued for a minute and then said "fine we will pull the codes but if it is something unrelated to what we did we aren't going to tell you what is wrong." So we will see...

The TO bearing that came with the spec stage 1 kit should have been installed... anything negative concerning this?
The kit also came with the pilot bearing... which should have been installed too...

Hopefully everything is torqued... I pray.... I could probably get everything apart now... we will see what kind of trust I have in this dealer after tonight...

PS the gears and diff will be installed professionally... but the same Ford dealer stated it would be ~$500 to do this... I'm thinking this is a little high... anybody know a good shop in the Joliet, IL area???
