I do know that some Audi's have issues with rear seals and both mine and my wife's cars have had torn cv boots, i'm not worried.

Failed inspection yesterday due to the tint being too dark. Stripped it off, and trying again now. It's always something.

They only burn oil when uninformed owners try to use the incorrect oil that doesn't meet VW's 505.01, 502.00 and 505.00 criteria. I had this problem with my VW using the owner's manual specified 5w30 when in reality there was a TSB about excessive oil consumption and mandates 5w40 502.00 spec [Motul, Amsoil, Castrol Syntec blend, etc]

CWO - Which engine does your thing have? 3.0?

+1 I have 01 Audi 1.8T so I always used 5w40 or 0w40. Great cars if taken care of properly, they do have small problems here and there but mostly reliable.

The seals have to be changed. Valve cover gasket, coolant gaskets, everything because they do not last for more than a decade like any other car.
