Im north of Austin in Georgetown. I used to love grabbing a new MM&FF off the shelf and reading it several times. I used to have crates FULL of MMFF and 5.0 magazines. The FIVE POINT OH was and still has been the most significant engine of my lifetime. Some will say the LS engine kills the 5.0 as far as popularity and while they may be right, I accredit the 5.0 EFI SBF to saving the Mustang and performance in the 80's. These cars are TONS more fun to drive than the 305/350TPI rivalry cars. They also sound better than ANY LS and can be just as quick with the right block etc... so, given my choice... I bought a SN95 5.0 Cobra over the 3rd or 4th gen F-bodies... I have to say, a fox body was a CLOSE 2nd...but, I LOVE LOVE the body and interiors on the SN95. WAAAAAAAY better than a rally car escort looking box with 80's toyota looking interior. Just my opinion.
Anyway, heres a pic of my last sn95. Im probably just going to recreate this car using a 95 Cobra. This car was a 98 GT with PI swap, 262's, FBO, tune, 4r70w and would run door to door with a stockish 4v and pull bone stock cobras, even on 18" wheels with stock rear gears.
