new member here...here is my spring/summer project i got for 1500 bucks!

So i bought this car and its going to be my project to get back on the road for the spring....the reason its a project is because the front is a little banged up and it needs airbags...ill get more pics soon after the snow melts....i hate snow!

heres what the person who sold it to me said it has

Car is a 1998 Mustang GT 5 speed, 4.6L, 98k on motor, car is also dressed up as a steeda clone, steeda spoiler, steeda rear bumper valance ,ect., car has tremic tko transmission, Steeda throttle body, steeda lower intake manifold, American Muscle performance chip, K & N cold air intake, aftermarket heads not sure whats brand, I know their aluminum, 373 gears, center force duel friction clutch, borla exhaust, high flow cat h-pipe, i also have the off road h-pipe for it, car is lowered 1 1/2 inches, has aftermarket rims on it with decent z rated tires, there is alot done to this car, It has a salvage title but can be fixed cheap, The interior is mint inside as well, it has black leather inteior, mach 460 sound system with cd built in, power windows power door lock.

now what i know it does have is the borla exhuast, gears, k&n intake, and the steeda kit.....other than that its a mystery becasue i dont believe a word he said

now does any of that description sound like bs to u??? from what i got from driving the car it feels pretty much stock. Sounds good as hell, but im guessing the h pipe is stock as well. He never mentioned that the airbags deployed before i showed up. He was explaing that the internals were all forged and this "beast" had around 400 horsepower....um yea ok....from what im guessing i think there are borla mufflers, intake but not cold air, clutch is real strong so i would guess that its aftermarket, it has the gears because it whines when i let off the gas. Other than that ill get some more pics for you guys of the front end damage and the engine shot.

im gonna need some help since i came from being a 5 year probe gt owner with the 2.5 klze 6 cyl...lol

my plans are to replace the h pipe with a bbk catted pipe and put some slp loudmouth 2's on. other than that i just need to fix the body and ill be on my way!

What rpms you running at 70 mph?

Stock gears you will probably be a little below 2k, 3.73s, around 2400, 4.10s might be 2600...something like that.

Theres really no way to tell whats done...but if you take it to the track and trap like 95 mph then you know its stock.

just jack up the rear end of the car, and put a dot somewhere on the driveshaft, where you can see it, then just spin one of the rear wheels (obviously with the parking brake off), until the driveshaft makes one full rotation, and make note of how many times the wheel spins. if its just over 4 times, theyre most likely 4.10's, just under 4, then theyre probably 3.90's, close to 3 3/4 turns, then theyre 3.73's.... and so on.

get some pictures of the front, im curious to see what the damage looks like. put the rear bumper back to stock, get rid of the spoiler, and tint the shit out of those tail lights, and that car will look real sleek.

thats a steal for $1500, leaves a ton of money for mods. just start taking and posting a bunch of pics about the stuff thats got you scratching your head and we'll help out.
As for the air bag just order the fiberglass replacement pieces and install them.
the aftermarket heads are probably a little far fetched, easiest way to tell is my what intake manifold is on it and if you do upgrade to the PI(1st runner going to left or right determines this as an easy way to tell) you can always look at the ports and tell.

ill try and get some more shots of the car and the paint scheme when its not like 10 degrees out! personally im painting the whole car black again with a blue opal clear coat...but the flames are cool...i just am not a big fan of flames

wow nice deal man, but some of it does sound pretty iffy, especially the whole forged internals, and 400 hp lol. I used to have a ze probe, i was on probetalk too lol. Dutch, you used to have a real clean white probe right? with the bullits?
