The Corral is my normal haunt, but I thought that as our cars are getting older, branching out to an SN95-specific forum might be a good idea. I've actually been a member of the site since 2006, but thought I should make a formal intro since I hope to be hanging out here a bit more. My venture into Stang-dom began back in 1990 when I bought a red '87 5.0 LX 5-speed in North Carolina, and drove it home to Ohio. I had it until 2000 when it met it's unfortunate demise in a run-in with a stopping-short-no-turn-signal-using Buick driver. :embarrassed: I was Stang-less until late 2005, when I found a 1995 GT convertible for sale by a Corral member in Michigan, made a deal, and drove it home. The PO had done H/C/I, FlowMasters and an O/R pipe, SFC's and a 3:55 gear set. At that time it wore '98 Cobra rims and '96-'98 taillights. Over the last ten years (really?), I've upgraded and modded it a LOT with some touches subtle, and some not so, culminating with the addition of a Vortech V2/SQ over the winter of 2014/2015. Colorado offers 300 days of sunshine, but living in the mountains a half-mile from asphalt means that my driving is limited at times by snow-melt and rain-made mud. I make the best of it, though, and get it out as much as possible when it's dry. Some pics and my mod sheet are below. I look forward to "meeting" you all. Andy THEN NOW MODS LIST
Thanks, guys. Now that I've gotten this car just about how I like it, I hope to have it a very long time. Andy
Nice car! Love your mods...very impressive...And I really like that you put the horizontals back in! LOL...
Thanks! I didn't like the horizontals when the '94 came out, and was glad to have the verticals when I got the car. I installed sequential flashers and ran those for many years, but decided to return to stock a few years ago. I wouldn't go back now if you paid me.
Welcome, you have a nice clean verty! You can take my place, since I moved from Colorado, only a few weeks ago.
The car is the same color combination that my '87 had (red/grey). The halos were an inadvertent junkyard find. Went for some truck parts, and saw an EXP setting there. The seats were actually in pretty good condition, and I felt kind of bad absconding with just the headrests. Getting them for only $22 and seeing them in my car the next day eased the guilt, though. EDIT: I just visited your profile page, and saw your car. Looks like you're biased when it comes to the color combo. Pretty nice-looking Cobra there. Andy
Hello neighbor. That is a very clean and beautiful stang you have. Do you ever head to Golden for the super cruise in the summer?
Thanks! I've not been up for this. It's a bit of a haul, but might be a nice time one weekend. If I think we might be up, I'll try to remember to shoot you a note. Andy P.S. Not sure if you know about the Cruise Above the Clouds down here in September. It's the 25th anniversary this year, and My Classic Car will be covering the event.
I know it would be a haul for you but definitely give me a heads up if you can make it and we'll meet up and cruise to golden. That's what Darhawk and I did but the a**hole moved to Utah. I'll look up the cruise above the clouds and probably be there. Andrew
Nice ride and hello from another CO member! I've chatted with you a little over on Corral (Sinner 88 is my s/n over there).
