Is there anyway to put in a Knock sensor from a 96+ Cobra, wire it for power and wire in an L.E.D. as a warning? Has anyone done this?

The signal for when the knock sensor goes high will need to be latched. hooking just an led to that signal will blip the led faster than you could possibly see. just my opinion from electrical experience I would have to further research to tell you more about it. how much do they sell the knock light for? it does sound relatively simple to do it, i bet with enough research it could be done on a pretty small budget.

I've found a few write ups for making a control box but they're a bit dated.

im just guessing that its a twelve volt signal from the sensor. you could easily throw in a 5v regulator and use digital logic to complete the task.

Could be done with a (D Latch circuit) and a pushbutton to reset and force the clock signal low.
