They last forever, and only get stickier as they wear down. They are pretty much as sticky as they get when all the treads disappear.

New wheels also or are you going to just swap rubber everytime? That would be kind of inefficient to say the least...

I've had a set of black Cobra R's laying around for the past year or so. I'll mount it on those, and swap the wheels.

Hell ya!! Tires and Kirkey intermediate road race seats are on the top of my list for the track. Those are the tires I was looking at too!!!

They are old NASA spec tires, so I know there is a TON of tech on them, from tire pressures to camber and caster angles, it's all been done and researched by AI and CMC2 guys. One thing I'd recommend is getting them shaved down to at least 6/32nd so they don't chunk. I bought a full tread set off a guy who used them for one rain session at a considerable discount, so I have to be easy on them until they get down to that depth. NT01s and R888s don't have to be shaved because they already come in 6/32 from the start

Exactly all the reasons I was thinking of picking up a set. I did find some used ones too, but I had no $$ at the time.
