New stereo ?

Well it seems nothing is easy. Went to get a stereo put in because it didnt have one and found out I need a special harness? Im really tired of wading through so many posts on how to hook one up! Uggh

I feel your pain. My son is going through the same thing with his 98. Kids...
Luckily my stereo was already wired. So all this is new to me too.
I think we have it all figured out now.
We just have to hook it all up and cross our fingers. One of us will let you know.
Might be the end of the week though.

Yeah when i went in to get my stereo installed i had to buy that shit too, then it turned out the aftermarket deck wouldnt hook up to the factory Mach 460 speakers anyway, so then i had to buy new speakers too.

u can get the harness from walmart or any auto parts store..and it plugs into your stock harness and u have to match color for color from the radio to the harness u buy..

There is absolutely no problem putting an aftermarket deck into the mach system. Let me know what questions you have.

That's typical with any aftermarket stereo install. DON'T CUT THE HARNESS!!!!!! Spend the $15 and do it right. Trust me......
