OK my plans are to keep this car for my kid who is 9 months old. I want to eventually put a new motor in which I want 350 to 400 HP and torq. What tyranny would be good to go with and six speed would be nice. I haven't decided on engine yet. Probably either 347 stroked or 351. Would I need a different tranny for for each engine or would that not matter. I need a tyranny that can handle 400 Plus HP when I finally get his all done. Right now I get a good vibration in clutch when I go over 4000 rpm and tranny sounds like vibrating pretty good so I figured I might go ahead and get the tyranny soon. Is this a tyranny probably even? Thanks

I wouldn't even bother with a six speed.

TKO 500 will handle that without a problem.

Where a good place to buy one I keep seeing that you have to make some mods to cross member and use an older model clutch fork at mustangs unlimited. Is this true. Also probably get spec 1 clutch kit and allum. Drive shaft( are they worth it?) And alum. Flywheel( worth it?)

a aluminum driveshaft will cut down on the vibration you get thru your trans alot. its obviously lighter but put down to much power and twist that shaft right apart. but good idea to upgrade rear end along with block. a tremec is a good trans no matter which one, no need for a expensive richmond unless you takin down the strip
