Yeah I plan to get a load leveler. And I have the stock k-member and shorty headers. I'll probably try it from the top like you

With Shorty headers you should be alright. Just wait to install your starter tell after the engine is in.

This couldn't have come at a better time...... its time to get rid of the plastic intake manifold.

That better not happen to mine.

But mine looks pretty fresh so idk.
I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Was putting coolant in the motor and started hearing a nice relaxing sound of falling water coming out the back of the engine valley. Made a complete fking mess. Glad it didn't happen at the race track or something though.

^ guy generally knows what he's talkin 'bout.

I agree. If you plan to keep the car for a good length of time, purchase an all aluminum intake now, before obsolete sets in.

Doesnt the Eddy Intake require aftermarket rails and stuff?

You will need a 6061 plenum (not a bad thing) or an adapter plate. MMR has one or Ive got a 1" thick plate that has been cnc'd to match a throttle body opening. You can get the intake modified to fit stock fuel rails, its not too hard to fit them. Ive got stock rails on mine.

That doesnt sound too bad. I priced the eddy intake and it came to around $800 after the rails and elbow. If I can get by using my rails it would cheapin it up a bit. In my cheap ass fasion though I already bought the Chinese plenum that copies the typhoon unit (I think everyone knows which one I speak of lol). We'll see what it looks like when it gets here. If its complete junk I will just return it. From what I read you can port them out and they can flow pretty well.

Edit: I just realized I finally hit over 1000 posts. Seems like it should be more.

Well in my luck the satin intake I ordered were completely out of stock everywhere and did not have a ship date tell late March. I ended up going with a polished one. They felt my pain and I got it for the same price as satin. Not much of a fan for shiny stuff in the engine bay so will probably eventually get it powder coated. Hopefully I'll get it by this week yet or early next.

I would say the first start was a success. Some fine adjustments to the fuel and I think it should be ready to head to the dyno
