I'd leave it alone. Aluminum looks good to me. Also, powder coating holds heat in when you're wanting to keep your intake air cool.I would like to, would prob powder coat it though. I honestly don't want to take it off again lol.

Aright! Nice runs, man. Are you feeling a torque difference with the new engine setup?
Yes power come on way far lower now. I think the compression is right at the sweet spot for the mild boost.
I have a nice PI shortblock sitting in the shop right now begging to get built.........
Then its a no brainer! What are you waiting for?!? lol
Its kind of a long list now that I think about it lol. Everything is tubular suspension - coilovers - racing seats - no interior insulation - no backseats - no airbags - lightweight steering wheel - no abs - quad shocks are gone - diff dog bone is gone - no ac - no front bumper support - drag wheels and tires. I'm sure i'm forgetting something but thats the majority of it. I was thinking I would be about even from 2015 after adding the blower, intercooler piping and metal IM. I'm guessing the car can get around 2920 without the ratchet straps and 1/4 tank of gas. What all weight reduction have you done?

'A pre 98 tank swap will do you nicely. Then your option for pumps opens WAY up. Your probably going to want to wire in your own relay so it takes the variable crap away.
'
I'm with you on that. I think the variable speed crap may hurt pumps that aren't meant for it anyway. Plus its useless crap if you ask me. Hoping I can find a 94-97 car local that is up for part out and jump on it. Would end up going to a 450 pump if I can get the new tank setup.
Wow that pump is pretty neat and a great price too. Did you run your own relay to bypass the variable speed voltage?I went to the local junk yard and grabbed wheat I needed. Anything all the way down to a fox will work for your setup. You just have to repin the connector where the tank harness plugs into the body harness.
When you look into pumps, check out quantum pumps.

The 98's have 2 relays in the system. Everyone knows about the ccrm relay, then there is one behind the glove box. I wired around the ccrm and used only 1 relay. That way it just turns the pump on and all variable speed is gone.
