Made it to the opening day at our local 1/8th drag strip. Car did very well. As usual my first couple of runs were crap just trying to figure the car out. First run the vacuum cap on the intake manifold blew off which is why I missed every gear and didnt make any boost, was amazed the cap stayed in the engine bay..... Terrible run lol. Second, 3rd and fourth I was able to beat my times. Last run of the day ended with a 7.52 at 95mph. The car has a lot more in. Still only grabbing a 1.8 60fter at best. I cant wait to get the boost a spark box on the car and crank up the timing!

So I weighed the mustang lastnight. I am really impressed. 2980 with a half of tank of gas and like 8 heavy ratchet straps in the trunk. This is a 40lb loss after I added the supercharger and heavy a$$ intake manifold. Car weighed 3020 on an empty tank in 2015.

What all weight reduction have you done?
Its kind of a long list now that I think about it lol. Everything is tubular suspension - coilovers - racing seats - no interior insulation - no backseats - no airbags - lightweight steering wheel - no abs - quad shocks are gone - diff dog bone is gone - no ac - no front bumper support - drag wheels and tires. I'm sure i'm forgetting something but thats the majority of it. I was thinking I would be about even from 2015 after adding the blower, intercooler piping and metal IM. I'm guessing the car can get around 2920 without the ratchet straps and 1/4 tank of gas.

Found the weak spot in my fuel pump's drilled bucket. Let the fuel get down to just below a 1/4 tank. Car does not like full throttle with the fuel that low I can tell its sucking the bucket dry. I think a fuel system swap is in my near future.

A pre 98 tank swap will do you nicely. Then your option for pumps opens WAY up. Your probably going to want to wire in your own relay so it takes the variable crap away.

I'm with you on that. I think the variable speed crap may hurt pumps that aren't meant for it anyway. Plus its useless crap if you ask me. Hoping I can find a 94-97 car local that is up for part out and jump on it. Would end up going to a 450 pump if I can get the new tank setup.

I went to the local junk yard and grabbed wheat I needed. Anything all the way down to a fox will work for your setup. You just have to repin the connector where the tank harness plugs into the body harness.

When you look into pumps, check out quantum pumps.

Wow that pump is pretty neat and a great price too. Did you run your own relay to bypass the variable speed voltage?

The 98's have 2 relays in the system. Everyone knows about the ccrm relay, then there is one behind the glove box. I wired around the ccrm and used only 1 relay. That way it just turns the pump on and all variable speed is gone.

Could you do a quick sketch showing how the relays and pumps were wired?
