I've got a 95 Gt with AFR 165's. Stock cam, tfs intake, 30lbers with matching maf, 255lph pump and all the other norms. I want to go with the trick flow plate kit. I want to know the facts about nitrous, is it safe, is my fuel system capable of supporting a 100-125 shot and stay dependable. Of course this will be with a custom tune. The car has a tune now, but I am assuming I will need another for nitrous. Thanks for any info.

Yes you will need another tune for the nitrous. Your car should handle the 125 shot with no problems. Your fuel system is good as long as you do a wet shot. You can do the dry one too but to be on the safe side I would do wet. Another pointer for nitrous is to make sure that you NEVER spray the car under 3500 RPM's. Backfires are a bitch if you do. Other than that you should be fine. A lot of people like to scare someone about nitrous and it being bad, but trust me, your car will make a ton more HP and you will have a blast driving it and staying off the button is very hard to do once you get used to the feeling... :)

You will NOT need another tune for nitrous...I run a way more agressive 331, BIGG Cam, AFR 185, Trickflow trackheat, and a 255 intank pump. I tuned it on motor on the dyno...then sprayed it with a 100 shot pulling 6 degrees of timing on the same heat range plug that I run on motor on pump gas. 10.88 @ 125 mph. WET KIT all the way. I run the NX Plate Kit on my setup. ONE THING...I have a wideband in the car and I found that using NX's jetting, the car went a little lean so we stepped up the fuel jet by two. Yes, I guess technically this is "tuning" but you don't have to go to the dyno and get ANOTHER program burnt for it. NO you don't really need a wideband. Set it up. Go out...make a quick pull through 3rd gear (if you get traction) and maybe 4th. ASAP, shut it down, pull over and check a couple of plugs. THey may look like a good clean tan burn but what you're looking for is "peppering." Lil black flecks in the white porceline of the plug and look at the electrode for signs of it burning away. If you see neither, you're good to go. If you DO see either, try going up in fuel jet sizes...keep in my though. Most kits only come with each individual power level. Not all cars are equal. Not all cars run the SAME fuel pressures. Not all intake distribute the same. SO its a good idea to buy a kit and a few extra biger jets for the fuel side of the power level you wish to run!

I would re-tune the car with a toggle switch.

Tune it for N20, and tune it for a N/A car. Tuning a car for Nitrous is NEVER a bad thing, never.

I use an SCT switch chip to flip between my NA tune and N2O tunes. I would hate to run around town NA while still haveing the dizzy retarded for nitrous. If your running a stock eec with stock tune you can just retard the timing then again when not on the juice you will running Na with rearded timing, not the most optimal set up. As far as the rest of it the previous posts just about covered it. You should get a window switch and pressure guage just to be safe.
