125 all day on a stock engine. Morning, noon, and night.

150 will make a stocker loosen up and let go eventually. Just not immediate.

How about doing what you should have done already and gear it. :headbang: Leave the a/c man.

What if i switch to a 87-93 longblock? will it fit? and survive for a while?
and the a/c is kind of unnecessary since my cars a convertable lol.

If you can afford replacing your engine several times a year... go for it.

Of you can just put gears in like raf suggested

Pre 92 had forged pistons, but the rotating assembly isn't the weak link it's the stock block, since the fox and Sn blocks are the same then it won't make a difference

In front of you
what have you run already?

i would stick with 100-125shot, that being said i have run a 150 shot on a few foxes with succes. The pistons being forged on those did help a bit i suppose. I would def get that gear and a bottle, pill it 100 and you should see a vast improvement.

yeah i have 3.73's coming soon and i know for a fact that the fox internals are stronger than a 93-95's thats why i suggested swapping them but i wanted to see how high should i go on my short block, but i guess 125 sounds is good enough for what i want to do. thanks.

This is bullshit. A properly jetted nitrous kit, used appropriately, will not be blowing up any motors. Even with hypereutectic pistons. Forged are more resistant to any detonation since they are less brittle than hypereutectic. However, I've run dozens of bottles through my old '93 mustang and never had an issue. 150 shot. Even a few times with a 175 shot.

You are assuming that people are going to take the time to properly calibrate their jetting.

Did I run nitrous, yes. Did it blow my engine, no. But I also took the time to adjust my jets for good AFR.

The average jackass that wants to "play with nitrous" is bound for failure.

a small shot (150 and lower) and following the directions in the kit (i.e. don't spray below 3k and only at wot turn of between shifts) will be plenty safe. Provided the car is healthy fuel sytem wise, he'll be fine.

My father has played with nitrous his whole life. and never blew a motor. i know some people think nitrous is just a way to blow your stock block faster but it ain't. people like the guy in the yellow corvette must be like every dude that thinks its just a plug -n-play thing but i know better than that!. as long as you don't run too lean or too rich it will last you awhile and always do what the instructions tell you.

If you have an experienced person working on it with you, then by all means... spray the living piss out of it!

No he isn't. Before purchasing nitrous he did a lot of research on the difference in kits and manufactures. Had a wet kit professionally installed by a very reputable shop with a rpm window switch, bottle heater, purge, blow down tube, and dyno tune for the 100 shot he was running. He had nitrous on his car for a number of years. What happened in the video was this. He launches on the bottle with drag radials. When he launched the motor bogged causing the nitrous/fuel mix to puddle in the intake manifold which is what blew. He never touched or modified anything that the shop did.

All you have to do is install the kit correctly, jet it the way it says in the kit, and go. The manufacturer's instructions always have the kits jetted very conservatively so that retards don't go blowing their cars up from the first time they push the button.
