No cable needed emergency brakes

Another thought...... If you have a race car that's got an air shifter, you could rig it up on a valve with a flip switch to lock the back brakes once you have pressure on em?

wait, then what would i use the park break slot in the console for? lol....lets where this discussion goes now......

Any thing electrical has flaws
my luck im driving down the street and it locks up
or im parked on a hill and it gives out
I will stick with the cables
I have the worst luck

I have a pic somewhere of all the parts for the parking brake removed including cutting out all the supporting junk and it is a big pile of steel, like 33 pounds of stuff front to rear. Hard to believe it is the cheapest way to park a car all these years with how cheap Ford is on every little thing. Surprised the auto brake was not perfected sooner.

I never weighed all the e brake crap when i deleted it but it was definitely a good size pile of crap.

Still doesn’t help those who’ve done big brakes in the rear that don’t utilize a cable. That’s the whole point of this.
