No High speed fan?

So i just tried to do the manual fan turn on mod and found the correct wire for sure but when i ground it i just hear the relay click but no fan. The ignition was on of course. And when im driving and the car hits about 205* the fan kicks on. So whats this mean? Is my high speed setting not working?

the low is supposed to come on at 205. so your good there. did you ck at the connector if you were getting the signal for the hi to kick on. the prob could be the connector or the fan motor itself. make sure the connector isn't melted

Are you speaking of the three wire harness at the actual fan itself or the ccrm module?

Does it work when you turn on the AC?

Do you have your AC lines charged?

I never did this mod, but my high speed fan wouldnt work on my cobra and it took me months to figure out you needed the A/C to be properly charged for the fan to normally operate.

there was a recall where the high speed fan would over heat and start a fire. ford decided to install a relay to disable the highspeed.

do you have it installed?

Now im getting confused. SO you are telling me that ford may have installed a relay to completly disable the high speed setting. Could that possibly be the relay that i hear clicking when i ground the light green and purple wire?

I may be wrong about this but from memory I think both relays are part of or built into the ccrm.

correct the relays are in the ccrm. but i may need to raise the B.S. flag on disabling the hi speed fan. i think a auto reset fuse may have been installed on the hi speed side though. i will confirm this info on all data today. Have you ck'd for pwr at the motor connector yet?

I have tested power at the fan with a test light but not a multi meter to check how much voltage is there. Let me add in that i do not have an overheating problem i just wanted to do this mod for obvious reasons. The link you provided will not let me access the data without a password.
