I am really sorry we can't do much here, these systems were put in to protect the owner from theft
as mentioned, someone in your area should have a program or the tuners for sale
it completely sucks when this happens
i had it happen to my truck 2003 f150 I lost the main key , and I ended up at ford reprograming new keys to the trucks computer pats system it's a good thing I still had Ford Motor credit, that cost me 300
vs the 500

I must be missing something. I've had my '02 dash out several times (unplugged and on the bench) changing the gauge background as well as replacing dash lights with LED's and never had any issues with PATS. So, if the earlier dash's are different, I appologize. I'm also not sure if your key is bad. I know mine has a chip that is programmed to match the car ECU. Do you have a spare key to try?

if I am not mistaken it is the antenna system that goes around the key when it is inserted that starts to have problems and is not currently being made? I have a 94 so I have only read about it and not had to deal with it except once with a buddies car.
